1. Payment

Your stay must be paid for in full when booking. The additional booking fee corresponds to the “Special Cabins” guarantee. On receipt of payment within 7 days following your order, you will receive a voucher with practical information about your stay. Please note: your booking option may be cancelled in case of a delay in paying for your stay, the option period being set at 7 days.

2. Accepted payment methods

Please note: it is essential to indicate your booking reference number with your payment.

3. Capacity

The number of people mentioned in our price list refers to the maximum authorised occupancy of the cabin. It may not be exceeded for safety and insurance reasons.

4. “Special Cabins” guarantee

Given the specific nature of this accommodation, a specific guarantee is included in the rental price together with the booking fee. This will cover you for the clauses specified below:

1. Modification or cancellation of the stay by you BEFORE your arrival:
In the event of serious illness, a serious accident or death and upon presentation of a medical or death certificate, the specific cabin guarantee will refund your payment in full.

For any stay cancelled more than 30 days before the arrival date and not coming under the cancellation clauses mentioned above, we will retain the equivalent of 15% of the cost of the stay. Between 30 and 8 days before the stay, 60% of the full amount will be retained. For any stay cancelled within 7 days before the arrival date, interrupted or not used for any reason, the full amount of the stay booked will be owed to or retained by Les Cabanes des Grands Lacs.

No refund may be claimed for any stay booked with a gift voucher, and not coming under the cancellation clauses mentioned above (serious accident or serious illness).

2. Modification or cancellation of the stay by Les Cabanes des Grands Lacs BEFORE your arrival:
In the event of an orange weather warning (for the Tree Cabins only), with external events announced, beyond our control, such as bad weather, storms or thunderstorms, the management reserves the right to cancel your stay for safety reasons. In this situation, we will suggest you postpone your cabin stay to a later date, within the following 12 months. If you have already left home, we will offer you alternative accommodation at no extra cost. And in these circumstances only, you will receive a 50% discount on another equivalent cabin stay within the following 12 months.

If you find neither of these offers satisfactory, you will be refunded the full amount paid; no other compensation may be sought.

3. Modification or cancellation of the stay by Les Cabanes des Grands Lacs ON-SITE:
In the event of an Orange weather warning (for the Tree Cabins only),with external events announced, beyond our control, such as bad weather, storms or thunderstorms, the management reserves the right to cancel your night in the cabin for safety reasons. You will be offered alternative accommodation at no extra cost depending on what we have available, and in these circumstances only, you will receive a 50% discount on another equivalent cabin stay within the following 12 months. No other compensation may be sought. You be refunded the full amount paid or offered a postponed date within the following 12 months only if we have no other accommodation available.

4. Modification or cancellation of the stay by you 0N-SITE:
should you refuse to enter your cabin (fear, vertigo, etc.), you will be offered another type of accommodation depending on what we have available and at no extra cost. No other compensation may be sought. You be refunded the full amount paid if we have no other accommodation available. In every instance, the booking fee is non-refundable.

*Compulsory Cancellation Insurance: €2 regardless of the length of your stay.

5. Prices

Our prices are inclusive of all taxes. Only the prices appearing in the “Prices” section of our website are authentic.

6. Children

Children’s ages are calculated by reference to their birthday and the starting date of the stay. An official document proving children’s ages may be requested at the beginning of the stay.

• The “staircase and pontoon” family cabins” can accommodate all children with no minimum age.
• The “ladder” cabins accept children aged 12 and over.
• The “boat” cabins accept children aged 12 and over provided they can swim.
• The “zip wire” cabins are not accessible to children under 16 years of age.

7. Special terms and conditions

Mothers-to-be over 5 months pregnant are strongly advised not to stay in “ladder” and “boat” cabins. Unfortunately, mothers-to-be are not allowed access to “zip wire” cabins.

Access to any cabin is not allowed for people prone to vertigo or sleep-walking, or who have heart or uncorrected sight problems.

8. Pets

Pets are not allowed in our cabins or anywhere on the site.

9. Valuables

You are advised not to leave valuables in the accommodation.

10. Complaints

Any complaint about a stay should be sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt within 30 days following the stay to the following address:

11. Alcohol and cigarette consumption

It is strictly forbidden to be in an inebriated state in the Cabins or on their means of access (staircases, ladders, bridges, zip wires, pontoons or boats).

Smoking is prohibited inside the cabins. All our cabins come with terraces on which you are allowed to smoke, provided that cigarette butts are not thrown down onto the ground.

12. Disputes

In the event of a dispute, either the jurisdiction of your place of residence at the time the contract was signed or the jurisdiction of the Vesoul Court is recognised.
